The
cuisine at the Commerce is traditional, consisting of main dishes, the portions
of which are big enough to provide a full meal, as well as 16 appetizers and
17 homemade desserts to accompany the 47 main dishes for patrons who are exceptionally
hungry. In order to ensure the quality of the meat served, all beef is supplied
locally and can be traced back to the breeder. The dishes are elaborated at
the brasserie and food is served non-stop from 11:00 a.m. until midnight with
a weekly closing day on Sunday.
Appetizers
Out of a total of 16, seven are served warm; appetizers range from a simple
egg with mayonnaise to a regional specialty called “graissin”, potted
minced pork cooked slowly with onions and flavoured with parsley then mashed
with a fork. Other possibilities include fish pies, moussaka, and Greek eggplant,
et. al.
